RN Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Alamogordo, New Mexico Unit: Cardiac Catheterization Lab Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Schedule: Full time, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

Responsibilities

Applies and documents the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) for patients and their families.
Consults with staff, physicians, and management on nursing problems and interpretation of policies.
Practices the five rights of medication administration.
Advocates for patients and families, respecting confidentiality, cultural and religious beliefs, and end-of-life decisions (code status).
Participates in orientation, annual department competencies, legal compliance training, and quality activities.
Communicates professionally and works collaboratively with coworkers, physicians, and other departments.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Cardiac Cath Lab experience (1 year), obtained within the last year
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
CPI certification
