Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health

Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
Call Requirement: None

Unit & Patient Care Details

Unit: Behavioral Health
Number of Beds: 12
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Meditech
Float Requirement: Yes, may float to Medical-Surgical unit if needed
Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Alzheimer’s, behavioral disturbance, failure to thrive, depression, suicidal ideation
Personality Fit: Team oriented

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health nursing experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Healthcare Worker Certification (HWC) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in geriatric psychiatric nursing
Experience on medical floors

Additional Information

Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
Dress code: Scrubs of any color allowed; no unacceptable attire specified

This position offers the opportunity to work in a Level III Trauma Center with a 167-bed facility serving the Gallatin and surrounding areas.
