• Employment Type: Travel
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days (7a-7p), no block schedule
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: No call
• Float Requirements: Yes

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 104 across five units (adult, pediatric, geriatric)
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:8 (lower ratios for pediatric and geriatric patients)
• Patient Population: Geriatric, pediatric (ages 5-17), and adult patients
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, anxiety
• Electronic Health Record System: Cerner
• Supervision: Shift supervisors only
• Scrub Color: Blue

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation)
• Develop nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
• Communicate changes in patient clinical condition to physicians, nursing supervisors/managers, and coworkers
• Participate in discharge planning

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience within the last year
• Experience in an inpatient psychiatric/behavioral health setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
