Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Surgery (Travel)
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Unit Information
- Unit: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Beds: 2 heart rooms with a possible 3rd
- Staff: 4 RNs and 3 CSTs
- Shifts: Day shift only (5 AM – 5 PM); no night shift, but on-call required
- On-call: 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- EMR System: Meditech / CPN
- Procedures: CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR
- ECMO program restarting
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience within the last year
- Current certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Acute care nursing experience
