Number of Beds: 84
Number of Staff: 160 (including Charge CNC Nurse, RN, Unit Secretaries, Respiratory Therapists)
Patient Ratios: 2:1 in NICU, 3:1 in NSCU
Equipment Used: Medela, Alaris, Ohmeda, Drager, Philips and GE ECG machines
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Neonatal Notes Manager / Meditech

Valid RN license in Kansas
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Current certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
De-escalation skills in healthcare settings

IV therapy
Whole Body Cooling
Surgical cases including NEC (Necrotizing Enterocolitis), PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus), CVC (Central Venous Catheter)
PDA ligations
High Frequency Ventilation
Chest tube management

Team-oriented with emphasis on excellent communication skills
Focus on developmental supportive care
Commitment to Family Centered Care and delivering an exceptional patient experience

This is a seasonal travel RN position in a busy NICU with advanced technology and a large, experienced staff
