Registered Nurse - Post Partum/Mom Baby (Travel)

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Mother Baby
Number of Beds: 26
Patient Ratios: Typically 1:3 or 1:4 (estimated, not guaranteed)
EMR Systems: Meditech / CPN
Shift Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 7-8 RNs, 1 Lactation Consultant
- Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 6-7 RNs

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of recent Maternal-Newborn experience
BLS certification
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with lactation support
Experience with patient transitions

Typical Procedures and Responsibilities

Circumcisions
Educating newborn parents on safety, nurturing, and baby health
Providing compassionate, patient-centered care with a friendly and can-do attitude
