Unit: ICU/CVICU
16 beds
Adult and geriatric patient population
1:2 patient ratio
Shift: 3x12s
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Call required
No block schedule requests
48-hour shifts may be considered but are not guaranteed
Orientation is weekly
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arizona
CVICU (2 years of experience)
CVICU experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience

Float Scope

May float as primary RN to Intermediate Care Unit
May float as needed to ED holding for admitted patients

Attendance policy allows one call out per contract; a second call out requires documentation and is reviewed case by case
Common diagnoses/treatments include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A. Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR
