Overview

  • Travel assignment in Thousand Oaks, California
  • 36 hours per week
  • 13-week contract

Unit

  • Telemetry unit with cardiac and neuro patients
  • 30 beds currently, with 12 overflow openings
  • Floating may include PCU and Med/Surg
  • 3rd floor, Main Campus

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in California
  • Telemetry (2 years of experience)
  • Telemetry experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • EKG interpretation
  • IV start
  • Chest tube management
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIHSS

Preferred Qualifications

  • None stated

Schedule

  • 3-4 weekend shifts per month
  • No on-call

Additional Details

  • Typical patients include those receiving care after heart cath, pacemaker, ablation, watchman, valve repair, and cardioversion
  • No visible piercings
  • Scrub color is variable
