Overview
- Travel assignment in Albany, New York
- 13-week contract
- 36 hours per week
- 48 hours per week are being accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- Experience with Epic
- Experience with titratable drips
- Experience with cardiac drips
- Experience with the care and management of invasive lines
- Experience with thrombolytic (thrombo-embolytic) drips
- Experience with external ventricular drain (EVD) care
- Experience with orthopedic traction care
- Experience with BiPAP
- Experience with CPAP
- Experience with high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
Unit / Patient Population
- Progressive Critical Care Unit
- Cares for medically delicate and surgically complex patients
- Common patient types include respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi system organ disfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications
- Average patient load is 3 high-acuity patients

- Antihypertensive drips
- Sedative and narcan drips
- Thrombo-embolytics
- A line
- CVP
- EVD
- Ortho traction
- Infection prevention protocols
- HFNC
- BiPap/Cpap
- Oxypendent
Work Environment
- Large-scale adult PCU experience is helpful
- Community hospital ICU experience is helpful
Schedule / Logistics
- Competency test required within 24 hours of submission
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Local candidates are no longer being accepted by AMC
