Job Overview

Travel assignment in Alexandria, Louisiana
36-bed Trauma/Ortho/Med-Surg unit on 7A in the Main Tower
36 hours per week
13-week contract

Required Qualifications

Valid LPN / LVN license in Louisiana
Telemetry (1 year of experience)
Telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
IV Therapy Certificate
Med Surg experience

Preferred Qualifications

Prioritization skills
Time management skills

Unit Details

Nurse-to-patient ratio: 6:1
Typical equipment includes IV pumps, wound vacs, SCD pumps, Kangaroo Pumps, chest tubes, telemetry, PCA pumps, Bipaps, and epidurals

Common Procedures

Wound vac changes
Wound care
IV insertions
Insertion of indwelling Foley catheters

Float Scope
