Job Description

• Support anesthesia providers across various specialties, with a primary focus on the cardiothoracic program.
• Assist with anesthesia monitoring and equipment setup, including central lines and Swan-Ganz catheters.
• May be required to float to other nearby locations within the hospital system.
• Participate in on-call rotation including backup, night calls, weekends (1-2 per contract), and one holiday call.
• Variable 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday with start times ranging from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
• Approximately one shift per week includes one hour of charge duties for early morning setup (6 AM - 7 AM).
• Use of EPIC system for charting and equipment management.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of anesthesia technician experience, including experience within the last year.
• Completion of at least one previous travel assignment.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• An Associate Degree or Certificate in a relevant field is required.

Additional Information

• Guaranteed 40 hours per week (except during holidays when the unit may be closed).
• Eligible for up to 36 hours of low census unbillable hours per contract.
• On-call hours count toward low census hours; call-back pay provided if called in.
• Flu and COVID vaccination required or mask must be worn at all times per facility policy during flu season.
• Radius rule: Contractors must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
