Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Unit: Labor and Delivery (11 beds) and Postpartum (8 beds)
Annual Deliveries: Approximately 1350
Average Monthly Deliveries: 112
Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every 3rd weekend and every other holiday
On Call/Call Back: Possible low census call; minimum 2-hour call back pay
Float Requirements: None
Primary EMR: EPIC (experience preferred)
Scrub Colors: Any color allowed
Radius Rule: Must live outside 50 miles from the facility

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Wisconsin
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
OB/GYN experience
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

During flu season, travelers who decline flu and COVID vaccinations must wear a mask at all times per facility policy; non-compliance may result in corrective action
Orientation week hours may vary; guaranteed hours apply except when the unit is closed for holidays
Low census hours (up to 36) are unbillable but may require call back with pay if called in
