Perform all nursing responsibilities and duties specific to the oncology unit.
Implement procedures and theories related to oncology nursing practice.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
Complete initial patient assessments upon admission and develop appropriate plans of care based on patient and family needs.
Implement and modify plans of care through continuous evaluation.
Ensure patient and employee safety by reporting and correcting hazards and incidents.
Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to resolve issues and provide constructive feedback.
Identify personal learning needs and pursue professional development.
Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.
Perform patient care duties including:
- Head-to-toe assessments
- Starting IVs
- Inserting NG tubes
- Dressing changes
- Administering medications
- Inserting Foley catheters
- Accessing and maintaining Mediports throughout the shift
Assist with bone marrow aspirations at the bedside.
Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Administer Chemotherapy/Biotherapy to patients both on the Oncology unit and throughout the hospital.

Required:
- Illinois State RN License in good standing
- BLS (American Heart Association)
