Job Summary

• Ensure proper patient identification and order verification.
• Prepare patients for exams using appropriate body mechanics.
• Identify proper exams based on patient needs and utilize correct exam techniques.
• Operate imaging equipment to produce quality images.
• Follow patient identification protocols strictly.
• Complete all required documentation accurately, including time stamps and image storage.
• Maintain work area and stock necessary supplies.
• Transport patients as needed.
• Develop knowledge of invasive, diagnostic, and interventional supplies, including indications, applications, and proper use.
• At procedure end, may apply closure devices, suture sheaths, or remove sheaths and apply pressure for hemostasis.
• Understand and apply principles of x-ray generation and safety.
• Demonstrate correct operation of imaging equipment.
• Provide patient education and ensure patient comfort.
• Assist procedurally as circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech per Angio lab policies and Scope of Practice.

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks (90 days converted to weeks).
