Job Details

• Evening late shift position
• Must be proficient in at least two of the following surgical services: Neuro, Orthopedic, or Vascular
• No on-call required for this shift
• Block schedules are not provided

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of Neurosurgery experience, with recent experience within the last year
• Experience in Orthopedics
• Experience in Vascular Surgery

Health and Compliance Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccine: Preferred but not required (medical or religious exemptions accepted)
• MMR: Positive titers within last 15 years required; booster protocol applies if low titer
• Varicella: Positive titers within last 15 years required; booster protocol applies if low titer
• Hepatitis B: Proof of full series or partial series with signed declination accepted; positive titers accepted within 15 years
• Tdap: Vaccination within last 10 years required; no declinations accepted
• Influenza vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct-Mar); declination requires mask-wearing and completion of specific forms
• Tuberculosis testing: 2-step PPD or IGRA within last 6 months; if positive, clear chest X-ray and current TB questionnaire required
• Fit test for N95 respirators: Completed within 1 year prior to start and updated annually
• Physical exam: Completed within 1 year prior to start, must state ability to work without restrictions

Background and Verification

• Criminal background check within 6 months of start, including social security trace and county searches for last 7 years, national sex offender check
• Ohio fingerprinting and FBI background checks as applicable (depending on length of Ohio residency)
• Employment verification for last 5 years through third-party
• Education verification through third-party; international education requires equivalency documentation
• Social Security trace and other professional attestations as required
• Drug screen: 10-panel urine drug screen within 60 days of start; instant drug screens not accepted
• Competency exams and skills checklist specific to clinical area, completed within 1 year prior to start
• Completion of required safety and compliance training modules prior to clearance
