Employment Details

• Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift Options:

  • 4x12 or 3x12s Days (1800-0630)
• Average Daily Census: 32
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-call Requirement: No
• Floating Requirement: Will float as needed within scope
• Local Candidates Accepted: Yes, no radius restrictions
• Active IL License Required: Yes
• RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days

Experience and Skills Required

• Minimum Experience: 1 year in Med/Surg
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Special Requirements:

  • Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response Skills
  • Gastrointestinal Case Skills (Colostomy care, Feeding tube management)
  • IV Therapy/Phlebotomy Skills (Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration)
  • Neurological/Psychiatric Case Skills (CVA, Pre/Post Neuro Surgery)
  • Respiratory Case Skills (Chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP)
  • Professional Knowledge (Isolation Precautions, Wound Care)
  • Continuous Bladder Irrigation experience
  • Cerner experience preferred
  • Teaching Hospital Experience preferred
  • Trauma Level II Experience preferred
