Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Auburn, New York
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Saturday, Sunday, Monday (3 shifts of 12 hours each)

Job Description

• Minimum 1 year of recent hands-on CT experience required.
• Local candidates accepted.
• Must have active ARRT (CT) Certification and BLS Certification at time of submission.
• Completion of all facility-required compliance items, including CEUs and pre-start training modules, is mandatory prior to start date.
• Compliance items must be fully completed by Tuesday at noon the week prior to start; failure to meet this deadline will delay start date by one week.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New York.
• Minimum 1 year of recent CT Technologist experience.
• Active ARRT (CT) Certification.
• Active BLS Certification.

Certifications & Compliance Requirements

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Must be AHA certified (check unit requirements).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Must be AHA certified.
• National Certification/Verification prior to start and upon expiration.
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement.
• CEUs including stroke education (8 hours annually, NIH Stroke Scale training may count).
• Pass/Fail Telemetry Testing on first day of orientation (if applicable).
• Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable.
• Physical Exam within 12 months prior to start, signed by licensed provider.
• Fit Mask Test within 12 months prior to start, updated annually.
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within last 10 years or declination)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella immunity verification
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or declination (during flu season)
  • COVID vaccine records or declination
• Drug Screening: 9 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days of start.
• Background Checks including EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG clearance.
• State-specific documents such as NYS Nurse Aide Registry and Medicaid Exclusion List.
• Facility-specific documents including Code of Conduct, Patient Abuse Reporting, Confidentiality Agreement, Orientation Packet, and Automated Dispensing Cabinet Security (for Pyxis access).

Additional Notes

• All certifications and compliance items must be current and completed before the assignment start.
• Candidates must be proactive in completing compliance requirements; support is available but timely completion is the candidate’s responsibility.
• Telemetry assessment may be required depending on unit assignment.
• Professional references and skills checklist required.

This position is ideal for CT Technologists with recent experience seeking a travel contract in New York with weekend shifts.
