• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year nursing experience required
  • Long-Term Care experience preferred but flexible on length
  • Facility will accept clinicians with recent experience in rehab, med-surg, or hospital settings
• Candidate Requirements:

  • Local candidates preferred
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Must have New York RN license
  • BLS certification required
  • COVID-19 vaccination required
  • Must be compliant within 1.5 weeks of offer
  • Cannot change shift or add RTO once offered

Required Qualifications

• Valid New York State Registered Nurse license (hard copy required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (accepted from multiple certifying bodies; online courses acceptable)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved declination
• Flu vaccine or declination on file year-round (mask required if declined during flu season)
• Pneumonia vaccination or declination
• Background check within 12 months (7-year search including SS trace and sex offender registry)
• Government-issued photo ID (front copy)
• Physical exam within 1 year, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with exceptions for prior positive results)
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam with minimum passing score of 80%
• References: 2 professional references within 2 years of start (supervisors preferred)
• Resume/Application required

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not required
• Must be able to complete all onboarding and compliance documents promptly
• Evening or weekend shifts required
• Facility accepts certifications such as ACLS and PALS as applicable
• Drug testing within 1 year required (9-panel, instant acceptable)
• Various immunization requirements including measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B (preferred but not required), and varicella (recommended but not required)

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of experience, preferably with some exposure to long-term care or rehab settings, who holds a New York RN license and is ready to work in a dementia/Alzheimer’s patient population.
