Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech
Location: Paris, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday, or five 8-hour days (varies based on patient schedule)
- No on-call or weekend shifts required
- Lead position requiring proficiency to work independently and alone
- Must be able to operate GE cameras and perform cardiac studies ("hearts")
- Primarily nuclear medicine studies; experience with GE operating systems and dose tracking software preferred
Required Qualifications
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience within the last year
- CNMT certification
- ARRT or NMTCB certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with GE Healthcare equipment
Additional Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID required during work hours
- Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet physical demands
- N95 Fit Mask test within 1 year of start, updated annually (no PAPR allowed)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start; annual TB questionnaire required
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity:
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; booster if low/equivocal)
- Hepatitis B (titer or series; booster if low/equivocal)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer; booster if low/equivocal)
- COVID vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31); no declinations or exemptions accepted
Documentation & Compliance
- Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
- Completed employment application/resume
- Skills checklist as applicable to specialty
- Various certifications and background verifications as required by policy
This position is ideal for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, comfortable working independently in a lead role, and proficient with GE nuclear medicine equipment. The role offers a consistent weekday schedule without weekends or on-call duties.
