Unit: 11 room, 16 bed pediatric unit
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years pediatric nursing experience
First-time travelers: Accepted
Weekend Requirement: Work every other weekend
On-call: Not required
Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
Schedule Flexibility: Block schedule requests can be discussed with manager
Locals: Accepted with no radius restrictions
License: Must have an active Illinois RN license or active application with ETA
Guaranteed Hours: Client may cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without pay; cancellations beyond that will be billed

Pediatric MedSurg and Pediatric Step Down/Telemetry experience
Endocrine/Metabolic: Hyperbilirubinemia, insulin administration
Gastrointestinal: Breastfeeding support, handling breast milk, feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), placement of oral/nasogastric tubes
IV Therapy/Phlebotomy: Peripheral line care/management, starting and maintaining IVs
Medications/Emergency: Pediatric dosage calculations
Respiratory: Oral/nasal suctioning, oxygen delivery systems
Professional: Infection prevention, isolation precautions, wound assessment/care
EMR: Experience required (Cerner system)

Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks within 30 days prior to start
Education verification (degree/transcript)
Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry fingerprinting (must be done in Illinois, 3 business days prior to start)
Physical exam within 1 year of start, including labs within 7 days of contract signing
Fit mask test (specific mask types required)
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
Immunizations or proof of immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
References: 2 professional references required

Must be able to work every other weekend
Floating may be required within scope of practice
Block scheduling requests are negotiable
Badge photo required before start
Candidate must review and sign code of conduct and other facility-specific documents within 7 days of contract signing

Valid RN license in Illinois
Pediatric Med Surg experience with a minimum of 2 years, including experience within the last year
Stepdown experience
Telemetry experience
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
National Tech Certification Verification
Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
State License 1 Verification
NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience working with pediatric patients
Hyperbilirubinemia experience
