Job Summary
Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a night shift travel assignment. This role requires strong Epic charting experience and the ability to manage critical care patients with complex needs.
Key Details
- Unit: ICU
- Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts
- Patient Ratios: Typically 1:2, occasionally 1:3
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts every 6 weeks
- Floating: May float to Med Surg (1:5 ratio) or ER depending on census
- Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
- Locals Accepted: Yes
- On-call: No
- Time Off Restrictions: Maximum 5 days off during the 13-week assignment; no additional time off allowed after submission or while working
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, with ICU experience within the last year
- Successful completion of at least one prior travel assignment
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Patient Population / Procedures
- Common diagnoses/procedures include:
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
- Cardiac surgery and hemodynamic monitoring (including CABG)
- Respiratory failure with ventilator management
- Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA)
- Altered mental status
- Procedures: Central line setup and management, arterial line, CVP line, basic dysrhythmia monitoring
Facility & Work Environment
- Acute Care Hospital, Level 3 Trauma Center
- Total staffed beds: 171
- Charting system: Epic (experience required)
- Attendance policy: Zero-fault attendance; 2 missed shifts = warning, 3 missed shifts = possible cancellation
- Parking: Free
Additional Requirements
- Must complete facility-specific modules and trainings prior to start
- Must provide a badge photo meeting specific requirements before start
- Must sign confidentiality agreement, job description acknowledgment, and code of conduct prior to start
- Must complete required Oracle and WorkRamp modules before start
- No holiday time off allowed during assignment
