Job Description

• Shift: Nights
• Emergency Department sees both pediatric and adult patients; candidates must be comfortable caring for both populations
• Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 4 patients
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours)
• No on-call required
• No floating outside scope of practice
• Block scheduling not accommodated
• Local candidates not accepted (local radius rule: 75 miles)
• Pending license accepted
• Return to Office (RTO) restrictions: 7 days
• Special Requirement: Glucostabilizer certification or competency

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current certifications issued by the American Heart Association:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Glucostabilizer experience or competency

Notes for Candidates

• Must be comfortable working with both pediatric and adult emergency patients
• Weekend work every third weekend is mandatory
• Pending licenses are accepted, but must be approved prior to start
• Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted for this travel position
• All required certifications must be current and verifiable
• Compliance with all background checks, immunizations, and health screenings is mandatory
• Candidates should be prepared to complete required orientation and competency exams before starting
