Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Specialty: Med/Surg Telemetry
• Experience Required: Minimum 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience (permanent, prior to travel)
• License: Must have a permanent Ohio RN license or a compact state license in hand
• Certifications:

  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • Willingness to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start
• References: One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required to qualify for submission. Charge RN references accepted.

Required Assessments

• ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate medication administration exam will be completed during orientation; passing scores are required.

Required Qualifications & Documentation

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 18 months permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience prior to travel
• At least 1.5 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start

Additional Information

• Orientation includes completion of online training modules prior to start; must be completed on a computer using Google Chrome.
• Candidates must carry a government-issued photo ID while on assignment.
• Candidates may start with fingerprinting results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start.
• Candidates must pass all required assessments and maintain all certifications current throughout the assignment.

Summary

This is a travel Registered Nurse position specializing in Med/Surg Telemetry requiring at least 18 months of recent permanent experience in the specialty. The role is a 13-week contract with day shifts of 12 hours, three days per week. Candidates must hold a valid Ohio RN license or compact state license, current BLS and ACLS certifications, and be willing to obtain NIHSS certification. Comprehensive background checks, health screenings, immunizations, and competency exams are mandatory. References and detailed employment history are required for submission.
