Registered Nurse (MS/Telemetry) - Travel/Contract

Location: Lancaster, South Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry
• Shift: Night shift, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6 to 1:7
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-call: Not required
• Floating: Required to float within scope to like units or sister facilities
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Block Schedule: May request approval prior to assignment (not guaranteed)
• Local Radius: 60 miles
• Locals Accepted: Yes (at a reduced rate)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• One completed travel nursing assignment
• Certifications:

  • BLS issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License and Social Security Card required
• Background check within 1 year, including multiple state and national searches
• E-Verify attestation confirming work eligibility in the US
• Nursys license verification required
• Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tdap within 10 years or declination form
  • Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days of start
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or vaccination series
  • Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination
  • Varicella: Positive titer or vaccination series
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• COVID-19 vaccination highly preferred; if declined, must complete declination form
• Proof of 2 clinical references required
• Complete employment application/resume and skills checklist updated annually

Orientation and Facility Specifics

• Virtual interview required before assignment
• Modules and orientation must be completed before starting; failure to complete results in being sent home
• Photo for badge: passport-style, frontal view, solid light background
• Various signed agreements and acknowledgments required prior to start (e.g., Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, HIPAA Attestation)
• Parking available at no cost
