Job Description
- LCSW required to be cross-trained on all units to work as needed.
- Floating to various units based on need.
- Variable start times between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
- Work schedule includes every other weekend.
- Shift options: Day shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) or Evening shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM).
- 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in California.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
- Experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check required within 6 months of start, including Social Security trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and FACIS Level 3 screening.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required and updated annually.
- Education verification required unless highest education is high school.
- Sex offender search must be run within 90 days of start.
- FACIS Level 3 search required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter.
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana due to CA law).
- Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps.
- Work history verification for up to 7 years required.
- Two professional references required (within 3 years of hire).
Certifications and Training
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC).
- Additional certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (verify with employer).
- Candidate must review and sign facility-specific documents including job description, standards of business conduct, confidentiality agreement, vendor training, code of conduct, overpayment refund policy, and regulatory orientation prior to start.
- TB Screening Questionnaire required within 90 days of start and renewed annually.
- Physical exam required within 1 year of start.
- Fit mask test required within 1 year of start and renewed annually (specific mask types accepted).
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (series or declination)
- Varicella
- Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 – Apr 30)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray required within 90 days of start; annual renewal required.
- Respiratory safety clearance required prior to start and renewed annually.
