Registered Nurse – PACU (Pre-Op Post Cath Lab)

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 5x8 hour shifts (11:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays

Job Description

• Work in Interventional Procedures lab including Cath, IR, EP, and Neuro areas
• Pre-Op and Post Cath Lab nursing responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 1 year of PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) experience, with experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association

Compliance & Screening Requirements

• 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Negative 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days before start (instant tests not accepted)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative QGold TB test within 1 year of start (Chest X-Ray within 60 days if applicable)
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct–Mar)
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
• 2 professional references verified within 2 years of start (for inpatient RNs, one must be from most recent acute care assignment)
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
• Photo for badge (passport-style, shoulders up, no filters)
• Confidentiality statement signed prior to start

Additional Notes

• No weekends or holidays required
• NIH Stroke Certification required for ICU, IMC/IMCU, inpatient, Med Surg, Step Down RN positions (not explicitly stated as required here, but may be applicable depending on assignment)
