Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Seeking MS/Tele RNs for Friday and Saturday night shifts (1845-0715)
• 12-hour shifts with at least 1 weekend shift every 6 weeks
• Candidates should be open to floating to the Rehab unit as needed
• Orientation: 1 day (12 hours), scheduled based on availability
• Charting System: EPIC (experience required)
• Medication System: Pyxis
• Patient Ratio: Typically 1:6, max 1:7
• Patient Age Group: Adults and Geriatrics
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Experience & Requirements

• Preferred: 2 years MS/Tele experience; open to 1 year with strong MS/Tele background
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Epic experience required
• 1st time travelers accepted
• 2 clinical references required, including at least 1 leadership reference from assignments within the last year
• Separation period: 6 months from last assignment
• Preferred experience: Previous Charge Nurse experience
• Preferred skills: Peritoneal Dialysis

Compliance & Commitments

• Candidates must commit to 4 shifts per month
• Must prioritize and complete all compliance requirements timely to meet start date
• Not actively seeking other PD or travel jobs that would interfere with commitment
• Shifts access granted only after clearance post-orientation

Required Documentation & Certifications

• Background Checks: 7-year criminal background check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting (must be completed within 1 year of start; can start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days)
• Education Verification: Highest level of education verified (degree, diploma, or transcripts)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Certification (as applicable)
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (pass/fail required for all RNs except OR and Home Health)
• Health Documents:

  • Physical Exam (within 90 days of start)
  • Immunizations and Titers: Hepatitis B, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot within 90 days; PPD not accepted)
  • Flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccine or exemption/declination accepted
  • Drug Testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (Aya requirement only)
  • Respiratory Safety Clearance (within 1 year, renew annually)

References & History

• 2 professional references required within 3 years
• Most recent resume/application required
• Annual skills checklist required
• Performance evaluations completed onsite during assignment

Additional Notes

• Candidates must have an agency badge and provide a professional passport-style photo for badge issuance
• Must review and sign facility-specific documents including Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, Commitment to Health & Wellness, and Non-Employee Affidavit
• Pennsylvania state-specific requirements include Child Abuse Search and Department of Human Services fingerprinting, both must be current and on file within 45 days of assignment start
• Candidates must be willing to complete online Learning Management System (LMS) modules prior to start date

Summary

This is a per diem MS/Tele RN position requiring strong clinical skills, EPIC experience, and flexibility to float to Rehab.
