Requirements

• Licensure: Tennessee License required (must have license in hand)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Tech Cert Verification (National)
• State License Verification (Primary Source)
• NURSYS Verification (if applicable for RNs, LPN/LVNs, APs)

Background Checks & Compliance

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals

Health & Safety Requirements

• Initial physical exam, updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Sept 1 - Mar 31); unvaccinated must wear a mask
• COVID-19 vaccine is optional; declination accepted; can be completed onsite on day 1

Documentation & Competencies

• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation
• Residency declaration form if working on a compact license
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Competency exams as applicable
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement (HIPAA compliance)
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable unit
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Employment application/resume required
