Job Opportunity: MRI Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

1 year of experience required in the specialty.
Prior travel experience required (Do Not Accept 1st Time Travelers).
Call required: Yes.
Weekend requirement: Yes, rotates among staff weekly.
Shift rotation includes 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, and 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM shifts Monday-Friday with rotating off days Wednesday-Friday.
Call week runs Wednesday to Wednesday with a mix of 12-hour and 8-hour shifts including Saturday.

Required Certifications & Licenses

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
State license for MRI Tech (must be verified within 30 days of start)

Additional Requirements

Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years.
Drug screening within 30 days of start (includes comprehensive panel).
Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declinations accepted with proper forms)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months of start
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer required
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
- Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer required
- Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31) with exemptions and declinations accepted
Employment application must include 7 years of work history with no gaps over 30 days.
Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests required annually with minimum passing scores.
