Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology

Location: Columbia, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • One night weekday call and weekend call every 4 weeks
  • Rotating shifts, including holidays and inclement weather work
  • Active role requiring ambulation, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs
  • Frequent contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
  • Must be able to work at assigned location for the full contract term
  • Must be able to work the majority of assigned shifts, take call, work assigned weekends, and at least 50% of holidays during the contract

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the specialty
  • Prior travel experience is required (e.g., at least 1 prior travel contract or equivalent)

Required Qualifications

Licensure

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Missouri
  • NURSYS verification required within 60 days of start

Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC Provider card required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for RNs in Interventional Radiology
  • Other certifications may be required depending on patient population and unit (verify with recruiter)

Background and Screening

  • 7-year background check required within 60 days of start
  • MO Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) or MO Caregiver search must be on file within 60 days before starting
  • Drug screening: Negative 7-panel drug test within 60 days of start
  • Photo ID and proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. required

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask test within 1 year of start (specific mask types required)
  • Immunizations/vaccinations required or approved exemptions:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (updated annually)
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella – positive titer or 2 MMR vaccines
    • Hepatitis B series or positive titer (declinations not accepted for new candidates)
    • Varicella – positive titer or 2 vaccines
    • Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)

Additional Requirements

  • 2 professional references within the last 2 years
  • Resume with at least 7 years of employment history, no gaps over 30 days
  • Ability to complete all required documentation and screenings within specified timeframes

Physical Demands

  • Active role requiring physical stamina and ability to lift/move objects over 20 lbs
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 healthcare environment with exposure to contagious illnesses
