Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Edgewood, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 4x10 hour shifts (07:00 - 17:30) with one day off (to be determined)
• On-Call: One call day per week (every other week) plus 3 additional call days within a 60-day period (tech can sign up for these). Weekend call every 7-8 weeks (Friday 5:00pm to Monday 7:00am).
• Float Requirement: Potential to float between Florence, Edgewood, and Fort Thomas campuses as needed (floating is infrequent and based on staffing needs).
• Charting System: EPIC experience required.

Experience & Certifications

• Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech experience.
• Travel Experience: Travel experience is highly preferred but not explicitly required. First-time travelers are considered.
• Certifications:

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Kentucky Radiologic License (KBMIRT) can be pending upon submittal.

Health & Safety Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Tattoos/piercings: No nose rings or gauged earrings allowed
• Nails: Natural fingernails less than 1/4" in length; polish is acceptable
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (THC not required)
• Fit Mask Test: Required within 12 months of start and annually thereafter (specific mask types required)
• Physical Exam: Within 12 months, updated annually
• Immunizations: Tdap, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, TB screening (QGold/Tspot or 2-step PPD)

Additional Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government-issued photo ID carried during hours of service
• Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG within 30 days of start
• Education verification and transcript/diploma as applicable
• Various competency exams and certifications depending on role (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC for RNs)
• Two clinical references within 2 years required
• Photo for badge (passport style on light background)

Work Environment

• No cafeteria on-site; refrigerator and microwave provided

• Scrubs/apparel must not have any agency or brand logos

This position is suitable for Radiology/Cardiology techs with at least 2 years of IR experience, comfortable with a travel contract, and able to meet the certification and health requirements listed. Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
