Job Description

• Provide physical therapy in an inpatient acute care setting
• Patient population primarily orthopedic and other diagnoses
• Schedule options: Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday
• Required certifications: BLS and California Physical Therapy License
• Required skills:

• Required experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
• Accepts first-time travelers (no prior travel experience required)

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• California Physical Therapy License (current and unencumbered)

Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or others may be relevant depending on unit but are not explicitly required for this role.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Valid photo ID (Driver’s License or Passport)
• Background checks within 90 days prior to start, including:

  • SSN Trace
  • 7-year nationwide and county criminal searches
  • National Sex Offender Registry
  • OIG Sanction Search
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM verification
• Education verification of highest degree completed (no pending verifications)
• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, NP, or APRN confirming good health and ability to perform job duties
• Fit mask test within 90 days of start (3M 8210, 3M 1860S, or 3M 1860R masks accepted)
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or signed declination)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray updated annually
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or positive IgG titers)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or signed declination)
  • Varicella (proof of 2 vaccinations or positive IgG titer)
• Drug testing: Oral saliva drug screen within 30 days of start (specific analytes required)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination documentation required by November 6; masking required through flu season regardless of vaccination status
• Color blindness exam within 90 days of start (Ishihara test accepted)

Additional Requirements

• Employment history verification for the past 3 years
• Current resume including last 7 years of employment
• References as per agency requirements (not facility requirement)
• Completion of facility-specific competencies and new employee orientation modules on first day of work
• Badge photo (passport style, no filters) and signed badge photo agreement

Notes

• One request for release time off (RTO) will be approved
• No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers are welcome

This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic inpatient acute care environment with orthopedic and other patient populations, requiring strong clinical skills and time management. The contract length is approximately 13 weeks.
