Job Details

• Work setting: Pediatric outpatient
• Schedule: Monday - Thursday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (5 days per week)
• Must live at least 25 miles from the facility
• If called off by the facility, guaranteed contracted hours will still be paid

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist (highest stated requirement)
• Licensure: Must have a valid Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of Minnesota
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Background and Compliance

• Criminal background check required within one year of start, including multiple checks (7-year search, sex offender, nationwide, education verification, international searches if applicable)
• Must complete Minnesota DHS Net Study Fingerprint Search and clearance prior to start (no starts with fingerprints pending unless approved "more time needed" letter)
• Education verification required (diploma acceptable with proof of verification attempts)
• Drug testing not required for client clearance but recommended within 1 year of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start required
• Immunizations and health documentation required:

  • Tdap vaccination (no religious declinations accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per Minnesota state guidelines
  • Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella
  • Hepatitis B vaccination, positive titer, or declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined)

Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM certifications not required for this position

Additional Requirements

• Two references from recent employers within 2 years required
• Skills checklist required
• Candidate must complete facility-specific education modules during orientation (approx. 16 hours)
• Dress code must be reviewed prior to start
• Candidate must sign confidentiality agreement prior to start
• Photo for badge required (grey background, no selfies, JPG format)

Notes

• Candidate must complete Minnesota DHS Net Study Questionnaire immediately after signing contract to initiate fingerprinting process
• Fingerprinting must be completed within 2 weeks of registration
• If candidate is not within driving distance of a livescan location, they must travel to complete fingerprinting before assignment start date
