Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Columbia, Missouri
Facility Type: Level 1 Trauma Center with ED, Inpatient, and OR experience required
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends every 6 weeks
• 50% of holidays worked during assignment

Experience & Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required (1st time travelers accepted)
• Experience with Siemens, McKesson, or GE preferred
• Must have experience with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• BLS and AART certifications required
• ACLS preferred

Certifications & Licenses

• BLS: Required for all RNs and many tech roles (AHA or ARC Provider card)
• ACLS: Preferred, especially for RNs in Cath Lab, CCU, CVICU, Endo/GI, ER, ICU, Interventional Radiology, L&D, MICU, Neuro ICU, PACU, SICU, Tele, and required for RRTs/CRTs
• PALS: Required for ER, Pediatrics, PICU, and RRTs/CRTs in those areas
• NRP: Required for L&D, NICU, Postpartum, Nursery RNs, and RRTs/CRTs working in NICU/PICU
• TNCC: Required for all pre-start ER RNs as of 11/5/2024
• CHEMO: Required for Oncology roles starting 3/28/2025
• EFM: Required for L&D RNs, must be updated every 2 years
• State Licenses: Primary source verification required within 60 days of start (MO state license as applicable)
• NURSYS Verification: Required for RN, LPN/LVN, AP within 60 days of start
• Tech Certifications: Various certifications required depending on specialty (e.g., ARRT for Radiology Techs, ASCP for Lab Techs, etc.)

Background & Screening Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 60 days of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG exclusions screening required within 60 days
• International background checks required if candidate has traveled outside the USA in the last 7 years
• Missouri-specific background checks (MO FCSR or MO Caregiver search) required and must be on file before start
• Drug screening: Negative 7-panel drug test within 60 days of start

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be initiated within 48 hours of signing)
• Fit mask test required annually (exceptions apply for some roles)
• Immunizations/vaccinations required or approved exemptions:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (updated annually)
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (MMR vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B series or positive titer (declinations no longer accepted for new candidates)
  • Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccine or positive titer
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season Oct 1 - Mar 31)

Documentation & Compliance

• Photo ID and proof of employment eligibility required
• Professional references (2 within last 2 years) required for non-clinical roles
• Resume must include 7 years of employment history with no gaps over 30 days
• Various facility-specific forms and acknowledgments required within 60 days of start (e.g., confidentiality agreement, new hire packet, TB survey)

Additional Notes

• Must be able to work across all age groups: pediatric through geriatrics
• Must be able to work in a Level 1 Trauma Center environment
• Orientation and competency exams required as applicable by specialty
• CPI certification required for Psych/Behavioral Health RNs
• Candidates must comply with all state and facility-specific credentialing and screening requirements
