Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Pomona, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 8 weeks


Position Details

  • Specialty: Labor and Delivery RN
  • Experience Required: Minimum 1 year (first-timers accepted)
  • Shift Requirements:
    • Weekend requirement: 2 weekends every 6 weeks (night shift weekends may include Fridays)
    • Guaranteed 36 hours per week; client may cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week assignment
  • Patient Ratios: 1:2
  • On-call: Not required
  • Floating: Not required
  • Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
  • Locals Accepted: Yes
  • Pending License: Not accepted

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
  • AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) - must be renewed every 2 years
  • NRP Advanced (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - must include all 11 components, updated every 2 years
  • Additional certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., ACLS, PALS)

Special Requirements

  • Ability and experience with vaginal exams
  • Ability and experience in baby care
  • Experience with at least 300 births

  • Annual flu and COVID-19 vaccination or facility-specific declination forms required

  • Facility orientation packet acknowledgment
  • Dress code adherence (solid colored scrubs only)
  • Badge photo on plain blue background (passport style)
  • Systems access request form (time sensitive)
  • Various acknowledgments including timekeeping, privacy/security, fingernail hygiene, and standard of care
  • Completion of required online modules via WorkRamp platform with passing score above 80%

Competency Exams

  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam annually with minimum 80% score

  • Complete 15 years of work history documented, including locations and any gaps
