Overview

• Travel/contract role in Prestonsburg, Kentucky
• 13-week assignment
• Night shift: 19:00–07:30
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Float required within scope of practice
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidate must live at least 75 miles from the facility

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kentucky
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• TNCC
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Driver's License

Additional Requirements

• Must sign assignment confirmation within 24 hours of offer
• 2 references within 1 year of start date, from supervisor level or higher
• 7-year work history verification
• Complete application/resume with education and work history
• Skills checklist
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
• Competency exam within 1 year of start date, renewed annually
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam within 1 year of start date, renewed annually
• Core Part I, Core Part II, and Core Part III
• Background check and education verification
• Drug screen within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask completed onsite
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
• TB screening or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• MMR immunity or vaccination documentation
• Hepatitis B documentation
• Varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
• Latex allergy notification prior to start, if applicable

Facility Expectations

• Orientation is bi-weekly
• Schedule is typically 36/48 for the two-week pay period unless otherwise noted
• Ratios may fluctuate with census and call-ins
