Registered Nurse — Emergency Room

Job Overview

• Travel/contract position in Saint Marys, Ohio
• 13-week assignment
• Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Call not required
• Alternating schedule

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Ohio
• ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• TNCC
• NIHSS

Schedule / Assignment Details

• Locals are not accepted within 50 miles
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Block scheduling may be discussed during interview

Compliance / Onboarding Requirements

• Criminal background check within 6 months of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check required
• HHS/OIG check required
• Fingerprinting within 6 months of start, with annual updates; results may be pending at start
• Pre-employment physical within 30 days of start
• Fit test completed onsite during orientation
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• TB screening required
• Tdap immunization within 10 years of start
• Flu vaccination required during flu season; exemptions available only for medical or religious reasons
• COVID-19 vaccination documentation required, with declinations allowed using the facility-specific form
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B documentation required
• Skills checklist required annually
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required annually
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required
• Competency exam required
• Photo for badge required
• Confidentiality statement required
