Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse

Job Overview

• Travel/contract role in Seattle, Washington
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Open heart surgery experience
• Vascular surgery experience
• Groin and radial band management experience
• Experience with Epic
• Surgical telemetry experience
• IV skills

Job Expectations

• Floating is required
• Every other weekend is required

Clinical Setting

• Surgical cardiac telemetry unit
• Cares for patients with myocardial infarction, rule-out MI, arrhythmias, pre/post open-heart surgery, vascular surgery, coronary artery disease, heart failure, pre/post cath lab interventions, and stroke with cardiac involvement
• May support specialized structural heart cases
• Common responsibilities include breathing treatments, chest tube setup/care, CPAP/BiPAP, trach care, blood product administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, epicardial pacer management, LVAD care, and telemetry rhythm interpretation

Unit Details

• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, with up to 1:5 at midnight
