ICU RN Travel Contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Experience with Impella devices
• Experience with post-cardiac surgery patients not directly from the OR
• Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization/intervention
• Experience with pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Experience with thermodilution PA catheter monitoring
• Experience with A-lines
• Experience with mechanical ventilators
• Experience with arterial sheaths
• Experience with dialysis
• Experience drawing arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Experience with Epic
• Ability to read and interpret EKG strips
• Ohio licensure verification required
• NURSYS verification required
• Must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting
• Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday

Preferred

• Level 1 Trauma experience
• Travel experience

Additional Assignment Details

• First-time travelers are accepted
• Traveler will be first to float at the facility’s discretion
• Floating may include other campuses within the same health system
• Navy blue scrubs required
• RTO must be requested with initial submission and is subject to manager approval
• For 48-hour contracts, overtime is paid after 48 hours
• The facility may cancel 2 shifts per 13-week contract due to low census
• The facility may cancel the agreement with 2 weeks’ notice without fee or fine
