Operating Room RN

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Omaha, Nebraska
• Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
• Possible night shift rotation
• 13-week contract
• Bi-weekly orientation

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Nebraska
• OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Oncology experience
• Orthopedics experience
• Neurology experience
• Bariatric experience
• Experience with Epic

Clinical Experience

• Experience with a majority of these cases is required: lap chole, lap appy, ex lap, I&D, bariatric, colorectal, PEG & trach, DaVinci cases

Preferred Experience

• DaVinci experience
• Oncology experience
• Ortho experience
• Neuro experience

Schedule and Call

• Off-shifting may occur 1–3 shifts in a 4-week scheduling period, though it may not occur at all
• Weeknight call averages 1–2 nights per week
• Weekend call occurs about every 4–5 weeks, typically 24 hours on Saturday or Sunday, or 1–2 days per month
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated

• Scrubs are provided
• Nicotine-free facility

Additional Notes

• Government-issued photo ID is required
• Background check, education verification, state registry search, and drug screening are required before start
• Physical exam, fit test, TB clearance, immunization documentation, and references are required before start
• Flu vaccination documentation or declination is preferred but not mandatory
• COVID vaccination is preferred; exemption or declination is accepted
• Baseline eye exam is required for travelers working in the OR
