Candidate Requirements
- Must have prior experience working with children with autism and families
- Must be comfortable in pediatric outpatient settings
- EPIC documentation experience required
- Unit does not accept first-time travelers
- Permanent candidates from other Providence facilities (non-Swedish) are eligible if separated for at least 3 months
Compliance and Documentation Requirements (Summary)
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Education verification required
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Immunizations and health documents including:
- TB test or chest X-ray
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
- Varicella vaccination or titer
- Flu vaccine or declination (seasonal)
- COVID-19 vaccine or declination (if onsite)
- Drug screening (10 panel) within 90 days of start
- Fit mask test (annual, travel only)
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years
- Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable)
- Completion of required WorkRamp training modules prior to start (specific to Providence system and specialty)
Additional Notes
- Float policy acknowledgment required; may be asked to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance
- Candidates must complete Epic training modules after Providence access is granted
- Some certifications and competencies may be required based on clinical track and specialty (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, CPI)
- Candidates must comply with state-specific background and registry checks as applicable
This position is ideal for experienced pediatric speech-language pathologists comfortable with autism spectrum disorders and neurodevelopmental challenges, who have prior travel or contract experience and are proficient with EPIC documentation.
