PCU RN

Role Overview

High level PCU RNs or ICU RNs needed.
Supports a newly opened PCU, with ICU patients anticipated.
Care includes MS/Tele, PCU, and/or critical care patients.
May float to MS/Tele, PCU, and critical care areas if census is low.
Unit ratios: MS/Tele 6:1; Critical Care 2:1.

Schedule

Day shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00-19:00
48 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year

Required Certifications / Compliance

Willing to obtain TNCC/TCAR within 30 days of starting
NIH Stroke Certification is required for RNs working in the ICU, MS, and MS/Tele
Pass/Fail Testing required for RNs
A pharmacology exam will be given onsite at orientation
