Schedule

• Shift: Night, 5 x 8 hours (22:00 to 06:30)
• Hours: 8 per day, 40 per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid Medical Technologist license in Florida
• Medical Technologist experience of at least 1 year, with experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA (provider card or RQI accepted; instructor card not accepted), required for all candidates
• Immunohematology/Blood Bank Certification
• Blood Bank experience

Background and Identity

• 7-year criminal background check, updated annually, covering all locations lived or worked in the past 7 years; international searches are required for candidates who lived, worked, or studied internationally in the past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated for each renewal or extension
• I-9 or attestation
• E-Verify or attestation
• Government-issued photo ID, carried on person during all hours of service

Health and Screening

• Physician statement (physical exam) within the last 12 months; no annual update required
• Negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or T-SPOT) within 1 year of start, updated annually; candidates with a past positive result need a chest X-ray within 5 years of start and an annual TB questionnaire
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity documentation (vaccines, titer, or accepted declination or booster, depending on the test)
• COVID-19: 2 doses of Pfizer or Moderna, or 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson; declinations not allowed; boosters not currently required
• Influenza vaccine required by October 31; declinations not accepted; medical or religious exemption allowed
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start; Florida medical marijuana cards not accepted

Onboarding

• Online facility training modules must be completed before start, and by the document due date with no exceptions
• Access to modules is sent by onboarding email after contract signing
