Registered Nurse – PCU

Location: Beaver Dam, Wisconsin Contract Length: 13 weeks Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Schedule

• Night shifts, 3 x 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week), 18:30 to 07:00
• Weekend rotation, every other holiday
• Standby call as needed
• A 4x12 schedule may be considered if working more weekends

Experience

• At least 2 years of RN experience in med/surg and PCU required
• Occasional ICU patients will be seen
• First-time travelers: at least 3 years of experience in a hybrid unit required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg experience
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association

Compliance and Onboarding Requirements

• Background checks: Background check and Wisconsin Caregiver Screening results within 90 days of start; monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring after hire
• State forms: Wisconsin BID form (time-sensitive)
• Licensing verification: Primary source verification of license within 30 days of start; Nursys verification within 30 days of start
• TB screening: TB test or chest X-ray, plus TB questionnaire updated annually
• Immunizations: Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella documentation (2 doses or positive titers); Hepatitis B documentation or declination form
• Flu: Vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (09/21 to 04/13); vaccines are available onsite at no charge
• Other: Communicable disease form within 90 days of start, employment application, and annual skills checklist
