Occupational Therapist (OT) - Temp Position

Location: Marshfield, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL (Activities of Daily Living) physical functioning disorders.
• Develop and implement appropriate plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards.
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly; evaluate treatment outcomes and modify services as needed.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare team members regarding patient progress and treatment plans.
• Document all required information in electronic systems and maintain patient records per policy.
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, and required trainings.
• Obtain necessary durable medical equipment (DME) or supplies as needed.
• Supervise and support occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students.
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state-required practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience.
• Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation settings required.
• Active Occupational Therapist license in Missouri required.
• New graduates considered if they have completed Level II fieldwork experience (Level I observation experience alone is not sufficient).
• Must have a current skills checklist (within 1 year) and 0-1 professional references at time of submission.

Additional Information

• This is a temporary assignment.
• Standard 8-hour shifts.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
