Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Petoskey, Michigan

Job Description

• Provide nursing care under supervision of Unit Manager/ADON/DON.
• Responsible and accountable for a group of residents/patients during a shift.
• Perform assessment, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
• Manage environment to maintain resident/patient safety.
• Supervise nursing assistants and helpers in resident/patient care activities.
• Follow all facility policies, State Nurse Practice Act, and applicable JCAHO standards.
• Must adhere to the facility’s philosophy of Exceptional Care, Passionate Services, and Unexpected Luxury.
• Flexible scheduling required; blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed.
• Challenging, fast-paced, and high-stress environment.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Long-Term Care (LTC), or Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) settings.

Certifications

• BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) - Required

Licensure

• Active Michigan LPN/LVN license at time of submission.

Other

• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical and religious exemptions considered case-by-case).
• Must have an active MI iCHAT account and be authorized for fingerprinting.
• Must be able to handle a high-paced, stressful work environment.
