Registered Nurse - Step Down Unit

Location: Elmira, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Night Shift)

Unit & Patient Ratios

Step Down Unit
Patient ratios:
- 3:1 ratio on Step Down
- 5:1 ratio on day shift
- 6:1 ratio on night shift

Job Responsibilities

Medication administration
Patient assessments
Development and management of care plans
Physical tasks including ACLS pushing, pulling, and lifting
Effective communication and teamwork

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
PCU experience within the last year
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
