Schedule
- 10-hour day shifts, weekdays only
- Shift hours: 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- No weekends, holidays, or on-call required
Job Description
- Provide perioperative care in a high-volume hospital setting, focusing on postoperative and post-procedure phases.
- Evaluate patient responses to treatment and manage pain according to American Society of Peri-Anesthesia Nurses (ASPAN) standards.
- Anticipate surgical/procedural needs based on knowledge of procedures and pathophysiology.
- Must function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment and be able to "hit the ground running."
- Verifiable references from previous experience required.
- Candidates with less than 3 years of recent full-time experience as a Perioperative Care Center RN will not be considered.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Minimum 3 years of recent full-time RN experience in PACU - Post Anesthesia Care, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
