Radiation Therapist Position
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Kansas
- Minimum of 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience
- Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Required Credentials & Documentation
- Professional resume/profile
- Two professional references prior to first assignment
- Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
- Driver’s license or state ID (must be current and address must match licensing requirements)
- Signed assignment agreement (offer letter, initial confirmation, and extensions)
- Completion of core competencies related to HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics with minimum 80% passing score (updated every 3 years)
- Medical imaging contract worker onboarding education attestation (6 hours pre-hire training)
- Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and EPLS (updated annually or after break in service)
- Employment verification for the past 7 years (updated annually or after break in service)
- Education verification relevant to clinical work (completed within 90 days of start)
- Confirmation of assignment documentation on agency letterhead with accurate start/end dates
- Ascension skills checklist for specialty (completed within one year of start, updated annually)
- Badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted; if negative titer, two doses four weeks apart required)
- Documentation of completed Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Influenza vaccine recommended during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); declinations accepted with mask requirement
- Proof of two Varicella vaccines, serological immunity, or verified history; if negative, two doses four weeks apart required (no declinations accepted)
- Tdap vaccine valid within last 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) testing with recent negative results and annual TB questionnaire; if positive TB test, chest X-ray within last year required
- Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred prior to start, can be completed onsite; updated annually)
- Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter (includes amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, PCP, methamphetamine, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, buprenorphine, methadone, oxycodone, morphine, ecstasy)
