Job Opportunity: RN ICU (Travel)

Job Description

• Work in an Acuity Adaptable Unit with a schedule of Every Other Weekend (EOW) and Every Other Holiday (EOH).
• Must have at least 2 years of ICU experience (this is the highest required specialty experience).
• Willingness to work with ICU/Intermediate Medical Care (IMC) and Medical/Surgical patients.
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles if needed.
• No artificial or acrylic nails allowed; nails must be short (< 1/4 inch).

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Current nursing license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
• Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• Driver’s License/State ID (must be valid and match address requirements)

Required Health & Compliance

• Ascension Color Vision test (updated every 3 years)
• Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics; completed within a year of start, updated yearly)
• NIH Certification (updated yearly or every 2 years depending on group)
• Ascension EKG Exam (passing score of at least 80%)
• Ascension Epic Test-Out (training and test checklist)
• MMR vaccination or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Fit Test (annual, preferred prior to start)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
• Influenza vaccine (seasonal; exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
• Positive PPD or IGRA test with negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire
• Health Statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA within 30 days of start
• Varicella vaccination or immunity proof (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap vaccination (valid for 10 years, no declinations accepted)
• Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen (within 30 days prior to start, updated annually)

Professional Requirements

• Ascension Profile (resume or professional profile)
• At least two professional references prior to first assignment
• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry (within 30 days of first assignment, updated annually)
• EPLS (Exclusionary Party List System) check within 90 days of start
• Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical skills verification, updated annually)
• Education verification relevant to clinical work (within 90 days of start)
• Confirmation of assignment documentation (start and end dates)
• Employment verification for the past seven years (updated annually)
• Ascension Badge Photo (headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)

Additional Notes

• Must be AHA certified for BLS and ACLS.
• Nursys and license verifications are mandatory.
• Floating to other units or nearby sites may be required.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
